Sursis – Time Is A Song For Drawn Hearts

O Bosque / Woodland proudly announces its next release:
Who? Sursis;
What? Time Is A Song For Drawn Hearts (EP).
When? 2010-05-09.

Sursis is the personal project of Larry Barin.
During the year 2009 he used to play in Brighton & Hove and London with the Barins, that lofi rock group of free-thinking migrants.

But Sursis has little (or nothing) to do with Barins, apart from that lofi way.
While Barins' sound is punky Sursis' is experimental/ambient driven.

Barins had to split up because of Larry’s age. He was 13 years old and no pub landlords in Brighton wanted him in their premises, so Barins weren’t able to perform...
Anyway, after Barins split up, Larry concentrated on composing and recording in his bedroom.
This record is a collection of these recordings of him.

Ah, did I mention it will be a FREE download?!?

First active from about 1995 to 2000, and now back again, like a bird returning from the south, sonic shoegazers Thunder Bunny from New Jersey recorded an incredible lot of songs.
As an aperitif for their EP album on OB/W, here's a great download-only split single to grab, featuring Thunder Bunny's version for New Zealand's one man band Disc Jockey's song Storm as A-side, and Disc Jockey's version for Thunder Bunny's Sleepy Head as B-side!

Look, I can tell you, you will love this couple songs, they're simply great!

Thunder Bunny's recent output's really impressive, take a look:
Demons on Edition 59 recs, My love, thou art a monster on Spanner recs, In a perfect world on Workerbee records, and The Other Children Of This Quickly Passing Winter on OB/W later next month.
And they're getting good reviews as well, from guys like indiemp3couk.wordpress.com, headunderwater.com, raamb-recordings.co.uk.

Ah, did I mention We Meat At Last is a FREE download?!?

Sursis is Larry Barin’s project.
Larry Barin is Lauro Zanin, he used to play in the Barins.
Barins had to split up just because of Larry’s age. He was 13 years old and no pub landlords in Brighton wanted him to stay on their premises, so Barins wasn’t able to perform, even if Walden Barin, another member of the group, was Larry’s father!

Anyway, after Barins split up, Larry began composing and recording.
This record is a collection these first recordings of him.

The tunes here were recorded between 2008 and 2010.
Larry was only 11 or 12 when he recorded Chillin' Out In a Sunny Day!
